The underground walkway at JR Fukushima Station in Fukushima City is decorated with "trick art" works that look like pictures with animal motifs popping out three-dimensionally, entertaining passersby.

"Trick Art" is a work that uses the illusion of the human eye to make a picture drawn on a plane appear to pop out three-dimensionally.

The underground walkway at the east exit of JR Fukushima Station usually has no playful posters except for advertisements.

Six works with motifs of animals such as chimpanzees and lions are displayed in one corner of the sidewalk. I was taking pictures with my smartphone.

Yuka Osanai of the Fukushima Machizukuri Center, who hosted the event, said, "I want young people, especially young people, to take good pictures and post them on SNS, and have fun with them, making them a bright topic with friends and family."

The exhibition of this trick art will continue until the 15th of next month.
