Remuneration for musicians is increased from 10.5 to 15.35 percent of the streaming services' income.

The compensation applies retroactively from 2018, writes the Swedish copyright organization STIM in a press release.

The compensation is lower than the Swedish, and many other European, but can still be important for Swedish artists who play abroad.

Whether the price for consumers will increase to cover is still unknown.
