Wutu Village is located in Dazhou Town, Wanzhou District, Chongqing, in the heart of the Three Gorges Reservoir Area.
The unique geographical environment has nourished more than 1,000 mu of tangerine trees in the village. While each century-old tangerine tree brings economic income to the villagers, it also builds an ecological barrier and natural landscape along the Yangtze River.

Liu Zhao, Secretary of the Party Branch of Wutu Village, said that in order to help the immigrants become stable and prosperous, driven by the follow-up project of the Three Gorges, the village adjusted the industrial structure on the one hand, and planted fruit trees such as loquat, ginkgo, longan, and late-ripening peach trees, as well as ornamental trees such as cherry trees. At the same time, the hardware facilities have been improved, and four squares of 8,100 square meters, including the 5-kilometer Riverside Corridor, Riyue Square and Wucai Square, have been built.
After several years of renovation and construction, walking along the Wutu Village Committee to the riverside, it is a colorful riverside avenue, sometimes submerged in the forest, and sometimes flashing by the river.
The riverside promenade winding along the river, like a jade belt, connects pavilions, wooden houses and squares in series, becoming a beautiful landscape.
Jinyindong cliff tombs, Guanyin Pavilion statues, Dazhouxi ruins and other cultural landscapes are also presented in the riverside promenade one by one.

Liu Zhao said that at first there were scattered cars that drove into Wutu Village from the urban area of Wanzhou.
After that, cars in groups of three or five drove into Wutu Village from other districts and counties in Chongqing.
At most, there were more than 500 vehicles in and out of the village.
"There are so many cars in a small village, and the traffic jam will definitely affect the tourist experience." Liu Zhao said that the land road and waterway will definitely not be blocked.
With the coordination and support of relevant departments, a tourist wharf was soon built beside Binjiang Avenue in Wutu Village.
Now, the Three Gorges "Pinghu Day Tour" cruise ship departs from Wanzhou in the early morning, docks at Wutu Village, and drops off tourists; the cruise returns in the evening, passes through Wutu Village, and picks up the tourists who disembarked here in the morning.
The lively village has attracted the attention of villagers working outside.
In 2018, after returning to the village, He Xia, who was working in Chengdu, saw that the infrastructure in the village was getting better and better, and more and more tourists came to play.
He Xia figured it out: With so many people coming to the village, they must eat, drink and even live. There must be business opportunities here.
Not long after, He Xia decided to quit her job outside and opened her first homestay in the village.
Tourists go to Wutu Village for outings in spring, fruit picking in summer and autumn, and red leaves in winter. He Xia's homestay is often full.
Seeing that He Xia's homestay was not worried about making money, other villagers also followed, and many villagers who went out to work did not come back.
Today, Wutu Village has built 4 homestays, cultivated 26 farmhouses, and built a "micro-market of agricultural products" and a "local product display area", attracting a large number of tourists to experience consumption and receive nearly 200,000 tourists annually.
Today, relying on the large-scale development of tourism, the villagers of Wutu Village have eaten "tourism meals" and tasted the sweetness of making "tourism money". The former "Hollow Village" has become a rich village due to the development of rural tourism.
Wutu Village has achieved a magnificent transformation from resettlement to wealth and income, and has become a successful demonstration of industrial prosperity, rural beauty and farmers' wealth.
