The Ministry of Culture and Youth joined the fifth edition of the “Art d’Egypte” exhibition as a global partner, which is being organized in the Pyramids Plateau in Egypt, from 27th of this month to 30th of November.

Through its partnership with the exhibition, the Ministry supports the participation of artists from the UAE to enrich their experience, introduce the cultural circles to their creativity more closely, and open the way for them to exchange more experiences and knowledge and accumulate new experiences that serve their current and future projects, such as participating in the Biennale of Lyon and the Venice Biennale and many others. of artistic and cultural events.

From the UAE, the Emirati artist Zainab Al-Hashemi and the Tunisian international artist residing in the UAE “El Seed” will participate in a group of their artworks in the fifth edition of “Art de Egypt”, as the audience will learn during Zainab’s participation in her artwork “Camel Camouflage 1.618 The Missing Obelisk”. It is an ongoing art project in the series “Camel Camouflage” that simulates in its models the ancient Egyptian artifacts. The camel leather is an artistic substrate to give a camouflaged scene that expresses an exceptional artistic vision.

While "El Cid" will present a group of his distinguished works in the art of traditional Arabic calligraphy, which he mixed with the art of traditional graffiti, until he reached his own artistic style, called "Caligraffiti" in which he excelled.

The Minister of Culture and Youth, Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, said: “This artistic event is an ideal opportunity to discuss many issues of interest to societies around the world through art, whose value is highlighted as a force that expresses the visions and issues of peoples, and there is no doubt that the participation of works by artists from the UAE It will introduce the aesthetic and quality of local art that transcends its regional borders, and contribute to conveying an exceptional picture of the reality of creativity and its pioneers in the country.”

She added: “We are keen in the Ministry of Culture and Youth to make our artists’ projects and works more known, and to allow them to exchange more experiences and knowledge with their counterparts from around the world. Therefore, participation in such an exhibition serves the visions and aspirations of the artists, and adds another dimension to the exhibition’s message. It serves the basic issue raised and discussed by the presented artworks, each of which tells a story and expresses the opinions of its owners in innovative ways that enhance the uniqueness and status of art.”

Zainab Al Hashemi is considered one of the most prominent female artistic voices at the level of the UAE and the Arab region, as she was able to be distinguished by artistic patterns inspired by her environment, and the transformations that occurred in the country in the wake of construction and industrial developments and booms from her own perspective, as she used the language of geometric shapes and inspired them from nature.

She also took care to include in her works many of the elements of the Arab identity, which made her turning points and interaction with a great richness of formations and impressive artistic compositions.

For his part, the star of "El Seed" shone around the world for his works that adorned the roofs and facades of buildings in a number of cities and capitals around the world, including Cairo, as his paintings reflected the aesthetics of Arabic letters, and the splendor of the special artistic identity of the art of Arabic calligraphy.

The UAE’s support for the exhibition - which is organized under the auspices of the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Egyptian National Committee for UNESCO, and the Egyptian Tourism Authority and under the slogan “Forever is Now” - comes within the framework of the strategic and historical relations it has with Egypt, and its readiness to host the next conference “COP 28” in 2023.
