In September last year, on the Metropolitan Expressway in Minato-ku, Tokyo, a garbage truck was rear-ended by a passenger car and a man was seriously injured, and the Metropolitan Police Department said that he had caused an accident by speeding more than twice the speed limit. The driver of the passenger car was arrested on suspicion of negligent driving injury.

The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the so-called "roulette tribe" who run around the highway at a tremendous speed.

The driver has partially denied the allegations.

In September last year, on the Shuto Expressway Inner Circular Route in Higashi-Azabu, Minato-ku, a garbage truck was rear-ended by a passenger car and overturned, and a man in his 60s who was driving was seriously injured for more than three months.

In this accident, the Metropolitan Police Department arrested Yuki Ito (31), a self-proclaimed construction worker with no fixed address, who was driving a passenger car on suspicion of negligent driving injury.

Because he was traveling at a speed more than twice the speed limit of 50 km / h, the Metropolitan Police Department sees it as a so-called "roulette group" that runs around the expressway at a tremendous speed like a race track.

In response to the investigation, he said, ``I was driving about two laps on the inner ring road.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, it seems that the number of roulette tribes has been increasing since the age of 20, triggered by the decrease in traffic on expressways due to the refraining from going out due to the spread of the new corona infection. As of today, nine family-related accidents have resulted in one death.

The Metropolitan Police Department is strengthening measures by increasing the number of devices to crack down on speeding and increasing patrols.
