The landing of this season's farmed oysters, which Hiroshima boasts the largest production volume in Japan, began on the 1st.

Hiroshima Prefecture accounts for about 60% of the total production of cultured oysters in Japan, making it the number one producer in Japan.

The catch of this season has been lifted for one day, and in Etajima City, where oyster farming is thriving, the producers headed for the "oyster raft" set up offshore around 5 am.

Then, at dawn, we used the ship's crane to pull up about 10 meters of wire with a series of grown oysters.

Once landed, the oysters are pulled ashore by a conveyor belt and washed with water.

It is said that this year's body is a little smaller than usual, but the taste is condensed and delicious, and it means that it will grow larger for winter.

Producer Kazuto Kadobayashi says, “Many people are waiting for Hiroshima oysters, so I want to deliver oysters that everyone will say is delicious. I was.
