Yin Mingyan: Like my brother, always maintain a fighting attitude

Yin Mingyan performs the duties of political instructor of the law enforcement investigation team of Yunnan Dehong Border Management Detachment.

In the 23 years of guarding the border, she has fought in the front line of drug control for more than 10 years. She has participated in the detection of more than 100 drug cases of various types, arrested more than 230 suspected criminals, seized more than 400 kilograms of drugs, and was awarded a second-class merit and a third-class merit. .

In August 1997, when Yin Mingyan's brother Yin Mingzhi was catching drug dealers, in order to protect and assist the people who handled the case, he fought heroically with several drug dealers who were armed with murder weapons. He still held on to the drug dealers with more than 10 knives, and finally died heroically.

When Yin Mingyan was sorting out her brother's belongings, she saw in her brother's diary that "Join the ranks of the anti-drug struggle, do your best, and give light", she was deeply infected, and then she resolutely joined the army.

In December 1998, Yin Mingyan gloriously became a border guard and joined the Mukang border checkpoint, which has the heaviest task of investigation and is known as "the first stop of China's anti-drug operation".

Over the years, Yin Mingyan has always adhered to the front line of the anti-drug struggle, analyzed the case with his comrades, and carried out special investigations, arrests, evidence collection, and interrogation...

One day in November 2019, Yin Mingyan found through analysis that there was a car traveling to and from the border several times a week. The situation was suspicious and it was very likely to be engaged in drug trafficking.

Afterwards, Yin Mingyan and his comrades traveled to Kunming, Baoshan, Dehong and other places in Yunnan, and through in-depth investigation and verification, traced back to the source, and a huge drug trafficking network surfaced.

After squatting and following for five days, a suspect vehicle seemed to smell "gunpowder" and ran wildly along the border road.

Yin Mingyan immediately followed and pursued, and informed the front of the location of the suspected vehicle.

After careful cooperation, the three suspects were arrested. The police of the task force seized 17.11 kilograms of heroin from the trunk of the suspect vehicle on the spot, destroyed a drug trafficking gang that had long been entrenched in the border of Yunnan, and destroyed an international drug trafficking network.

Another time, in order to arrest a female drug suspect, Yin Mingyan dyed her hair, dressed stylishly, and dealt with drug dealers for 3 days. Finally, she destroyed a sporadic drug trafficking network, arrested 3 drug addicts, and seized 2.58 kilograms of methamphetamine.

"The more drugs checked at the border, the less people in the mainland will suffer, and we will fight against the drug dealers to the end!" Whenever she encountered difficulties in her work, she always encouraged herself to persevere and move forward in the border anti-drug fight.

Gan Yuqin: Like a brother, brave to take responsibility and willing to give

Gan Yuqin, from Bijie, Guizhou, is a police officer in the Dehong Border Management Detachment. She has won the third-class merit twice, and has been commended by her superiors as an "excellent female police officer" for many times.

"Like my brother, be a border policeman with a sense of responsibility, courage and dedication." This is what she often talks about.

On March 25, 2007, a drug dealer's bullet pierced the chest of Gan Yuqin's brother Gan Zurong during an anti-drug battle on the China-Myanmar border.

Gan Zurong sacrificed heroically, and his comrades Xu Shengqian and Bai Jiangang fell together.

Enduring the grief, Gan Yuqin resolutely joined the army and came to the place where her brother once fought 8 months after his brother sacrificed.

Soon, she became an anti-drug expert of the female soldier class at the Mukang border checkpoint, and was awarded the third-class merit once.

In 2018, she turned from "olive green" to "navy blue" and became an immigration management policeman. She was assigned to work at the Hula border police station, and continued to take root and guard the border.

In 2020, after the outbreak of the new crown epidemic, she gave full play to her medical expertise, went to the frontline to provide support at the border, and did a good job in the internal prevention and control of the police camp without flinching.

"I have the responsibility and obligation to work on the front line of prevention and control." When the epidemic first broke out, Gan Yuqin took the initiative to work at the epidemic prevention duty point in Zhexiang.

Every day I was on duty, I often didn't leave work until late at night. My daughter, who was less than one year old, had already fallen asleep. During the rest time, I could only look at the photos and videos taken on the mobile phone to understand my thoughts.

In the face of hardships and risks, Gan Yuqin has no regrets and no regrets. She just said, "Everyone has worked hard. I just want to do my part and never let the epidemic be imported from abroad."

In September 2021, Gan Yuqin took the initiative to invite Ying to the front line of the Ruili border to support epidemic prevention and control. Every day, she made every effort to provide medical and health care for her comrades in arms, distributing epidemic prevention materials, treating trauma, disinfection, temperature detection, etc., for more than 50 days.

"Brother's blood is spilled on the border, I will work hard to follow his footsteps." Gan Yuqin said firmly.
