New product recall potentially contaminated with Listeria.

This time, Rappel Conso alerted consumers to smoked trout sold in Leclerc, Carrefour and Sedis group stores across France.

The recalled product belongs to the La Petite Fabrique du Saumon Fumé brand.

It was marketed between August 24 and September 21, 2022. This smoked trout is packaged in vacuum bags of 4 slices (120 grams) or 6 slices (180 grams).

A total of four batches are being recalled:

  • Lot 335 2284 with barcode 3760337632554 (Use-by date 09/16/2022)

  • Lot 343 2292 with barcode 3760337632554 (DLC 20/09/2022)

  • Lot 351 2302 with barcode 3760337632547 (DLC 09/21/2022)

  • Lot 365 2504 with barcode 3760337632547 (DLC 07/10/2022)

Listeria monocytogenes bacteria can cause listeriosis, a potentially serious disease with an incubation period of up to eight weeks.

In case of appearance of fever isolated or accompanied by headaches, and body aches after consumption of this product, it is advisable to consult a doctor.

Immunocompromised people, the elderly and pregnant women should be especially alert to these symptoms.
