From October, the insurance premium rate for employment insurance will be raised, and workers and employers will have to pay more.

Employment insurance, which covers unemployment benefits, has been revised because the amount of employment adjustment subsidies continues to increase due to the effects of the new coronavirus, and the lack of financial resources has become an issue.

Employment insurance premiums, which are borne by labor and management, will be raised

from 0.3% to 0.5% of wages for workers and

from 0.65% to 0.85% for employers starting this month

.

For example, a worker with a monthly salary of 300,000 yen will be burdened from the current 900 yen to 1,500 yen per month, and the company's monthly salary of 1,950 yen will be reduced to 2,550 yen.

It will be applied until March next year, after which it will be considered by a council of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare.
