A novel about the making of a film

Tom Hanks has not revealed the titles of the four films he considers the best of his career.

Little hint: in November 2021, the actor had confided during an appearance in the podcast The Bill Simmons Podcast hosted by journalist Bill Simmons, that the films 

An extraordinary team, Cloud Atlas

 and 

Alone in the world

 were among his hits of heart. 

Tom Hanks' novel, his very first book, retraces the creation of a film over 80 years through the story of several characters: a soldier, his five-year-old nephew and finally a director.

The book will be published by Penguin Random House in the UK and the US on May 9, 2023. No French release date has yet been announced.
