After completing her solo career, Weki Meki member Choi Yoo-jung revealed the story behind the new song title.



Choi Yoo-jung, who appeared as a guest on SBS Power FM's 'Two O'Clock Escape Cultwo Show' today (29th), revealed the back story behind her recently released first solo album 'Sunflower'.



Yoojung Choi introduced 'Sunflower' as "a song that means to fill our time with precious things like sunflowers in full bloom while the sun is rising," and she said, "She also participated in writing the lyrics."



When DJ Kim Tae-gyun said, "Yoo-jeong looks like a sunflower," Choi Yoo-jeong said, "The reason I named this album 'Sunflower' is because of her grandfather."

Choi Yoo-jeong recalled that time, "Before my grandfather passed away, I asked him to draw flowers. Then, he drew a smiling face on a huge sunflower and said, 'This is Yoo-jeong.'"



She said she was moved, she revealed, saying, "It means so much to me that the title of this album is Sunflowers."



In an interview with a fashion magazine earlier, Yoojung Choi mentioned the anecdote and said, "What my grandfather always emphasized was a humble attitude.



On the radio that day, Choi Yoo-jung said about the new song's title 'PEL' on the radio, "It means Power, Energy, Love. I hope that I can recall and reminisce about those things I liked. It means that I will send my power, energy, and love to that.”
