From the dawn of the 28th to the morning, two people died in a series of accidents involving multiple trucks and vehicle fires on the Tomei Expressway in Aichi Prefecture.


Due to the accident, some sections of the Tomei Expressway have been closed to traffic.

After 2:00 am on the 28th, an accident involving three large trucks occurred near the Okazaki Interchange on the Tomei Expressway down line in Aichi Prefecture.



According to police, two trucks collided, and another truck running from behind collided.



The accident killed the male driver of the last truck that collided, and slightly injured the two men who were driving the other two trucks.



Due to this accident, the outbound line of the Tomei Expressway continues to be closed between Okazaki Interchange and Toyota Junction in Aichi Prefecture.

Also, just after 5:30 am on the 28th, a large truck driver reported to the police that the cargo was on fire near the Toyota Junction on the Tomei Expressway in Aichi Prefecture.



According to the police, a total of three trucks, including this truck, were on fire, and one person was confirmed dead, and others were injured.



Police are investigating the cause and circumstances of the fire.
