On September 26, in Beihai Port Area of Beibu Gulf Port, Beihai City, Guangxi, with the cooperation of quay cranes and loaders, Vietnamese wood chips were continuously shipped out of the port and will become papermaking materials.
The direct economic hinterland of Beihai Port Area of Beibu Gulf Port is southwest, central and southern China such as Guangxi, Yunnan, Guizhou, Sichuan, Chongqing and Hunan. The main sources of goods are wood chips, coal, nickel iron ore, grain, steel, fertilizer, sulfur, copper concentrate Mine, stone powder, etc.
In 2021, the cargo throughput of Beihai Port Area of Beibu Gulf Port will be 33.3018 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 23.29%; of which the container throughput will be 613,800 TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 22.74%.
It is reported that Beihai was the departure port of the Maritime Silk Road in the Han Dynasty.
