In Melodifestivalen 2022, Farah Abadi was assistant to host Oscar Zia, but now she takes on the task herself.

Although it was Farah Abadi's first Melodifestival in the box, she has several years of experience as a presenter behind her.

Among other things, she leads the quiz show "1 against Sweden" on SVT with Babben Larsson and Erik Ekstrand, and has been a presenter on Sweden's radio for ten years.

At the Kristallgala 2022, she was nominated for this year's female presenter.

Program leader and visitors

Having a comedian as guest sitter has previously been a winning concept for Melodifestivalen.

Next year it will be the stand-up comedian and presenter Jesper Rönndahl.

He has previously been a presenter for "Svenska nyheter" in SVT, and both competed in and won "På spåret" with Elisabeth Höglund.

- This is the biggest TV show I've done, and of course it's thrilling.

I haven't exactly distinguished myself as a music guy, so my role is probably more to keep track of everything - and to be funny.

Or, I think they have thought anyway?

In any case, it feels incredibly safe and happy and fun to be allowed to have Farah by my side, says Jesper Rönndahl.

Back on tour

Melodifestivalen 2023 will be the 63rd edition of the competition.

In the last two years, all competitions have been held in Stockholm instead of the competition going on tour due to the current pandemic situation.

However, Farah Abadi and Jesper Rönndahl will have to pack the sequined garments and go out into the country, because next year the tour is back.

The first competition will be held in Gothenburg on February 4, 2023. After that, the competition will come to Linköping, Lidköping, Malmö and Örnsköldsvik.

The final will take place on March 11, as usual in the Friends arena just outside Stockholm.
