Almost a year after his last match with the Senegal team, Krépin Diatta met his friends on the pitch this Saturday, September 24 in Orléans during the 2-0 victory against Bolivia.
During his injury which had taken him away from the selection, the Lions were crowned champions of Africa.

Krépin Diatta released these words as if to close a painful parenthesis for him.
A missed date with history.
On February 6, 2022, Senegal celebrated its first African Cup title without Krepin Diatta, a potential holder, and
player installed in the den
since March 2019 and his first selection.
The versatile midfielder was absent due to an injury contracted a month before the start of the AFCON;
an injury to the anterior ligament of the left knee which was already marking the end of his season.
It is therefore from afar that the kid from Ziguinchor experienced the historic victory of his friends with a touch of bitterness.

Ten months after his last match with the Lions, Krépin Diatta, 23, was established by his coach Aliou Ciss for his return to the selection.
A comeback without apprehension and lived with happiness.

The former player of club Bruges (Belgium) owes his return as much to his experience in the Lions group as to the good start to the season with AS Monaco (France).
Diatta, his club's top scorer this season in Ligue 1, has regained his feelings and has played in all of ASM's matches since the start of the season.
