Gao Weidong, born in 1989, is a native of Shiyu Village, Jingxing County, Hebei Province.
He started with a pancake stall, and now he has opened more than 300 franchised chain stores, and is called "Pancake Brother" by the local media.
Gao Weidong said that his original intention to make pancakes was due to a report.

In 2015, I saw a newspaper (report) that pancakes were among the top ten snacks that cannot be eaten in Shijiazhuang, ranking seventh.
Because it is fried and crispy, it is very unhealthy to use this oil repeatedly.
My purpose in making pancakes is to justify the name of pancakes.

[Explanation] Despite the opposition of his family, Gao Weidong set up a pancake stand on the street.
In order to ensure that the pancakes made are healthy and delicious, Gao Weidong adopts the production process of "Jingxing Pancakes" in his hometown, and strictly selects the raw materials.

We bought almost all the millet from all over the country and did the experiment. In the end, we chose the millet from Taihang Mountain. We process the thin and crispy rice by ourselves, and the oil and production are guaranteed by food safety.
[Explanation] After having the third roadside pancake stall, Gao Weidong decided to apply for a registered trademark, create his own brand, and move the pancake stall into the house.
However, the road to entrepreneurship is full of hardships and ups and downs. When the pancake chain opened more than a dozen, Gao Weidong was already heavily in debt.
[Explanation] With a bit of tenacity, Gao Weidong ushered in a turnaround after a difficult time. The chain stores slowly increased from a dozen to more than 100, and the company gradually became profitable.
At this time, Gao Weidong made another decision that was incomprehensible to ordinary people. He devoted all his resources to build a pancake raw material production and processing base deep in the Taihang Mountains.

(The base is built in the deep mountains) First, it is also in response to the policy (call) of returning home to start a business, and secondly, this is my hometown, in order to promote the employment of the folks in my hometown.
At present, this plant has two production lines, one for sauces and one for grains. After our raw materials are produced, we have our own logistics vehicles and will deliver them to various stores in a timely manner.
[Explanation] In order to ensure the quality of millet and promote the common development of the villagers, Gao Weidong also established a professional planting cooperative in his hometown, transferring 1,000 mu of land, and implementing order-based planting of 5,000 mu, initially creating a standardized planting based on Jingxing alpine millet base.

My family has a total of more than three acres of land, which is transferred to the Jianbing Company. One mu of land (every year) is paid 400 yuan. I just manage the land for them. After a year, they will pay (me) 40,000 yuan per year.
[Explanation] After several years of hard work, Gao Weidong has owned more than 300 pancake chain stores, directly driving more than 1,000 people to realize entrepreneurship and employment.
At present, Gao Weidong is planning to build three fully automatic production lines for millet color selection, pre-packaged pancakes and crispy in his hometown. He is full of confidence when talking about the future.
