Bang Bang Bang... On the afternoon of September 23, I walked into the studio of Ma Xiqin, the representative inheritor of Wuqiang Woodblock New Year Pictures, a national intangible cultural heritage in Wuqiang County, Hebei Province. I saw that he was holding a carving knife in his left hand and a mallet in his right hand. , is engraving the woodblock of Wuqiang's representative woodblock New Year's picture "Six Sons Game".

"The engraving requires a steep knife vertical line, and the line is narrow at the top and wide at the bottom, so that the line is not easy to wear and tear, and it is not easy to break. Every piece of wood has to be carved thousands of times." Ma Xiqin said that the production process of Wuqiang's woodblock New Year pictures mainly includes: There are four processes of drawing, engraving, printing, and mounting. To learn this skill well, you need not only a solid foundation in art, but also hard work.

In order to pass on Wuqiang's woodblock New Year's painting skills, he trained more than 100 New Year's picture board and printing staff by holding training courses, so that Wuqiang's woodblock New Year's painting skills could be passed on from generation to generation.
