Burnout is the physical, emotional and mental exhaustion related to work.

Along with violence inside and outside the company, it is part of the psychosocial risks (PSR) in the company.

This burnout can be recognized as an occupational disease by health insurance, under strict conditions.

The illness must be essentially and directly caused by work and must result in partial permanent incapacity equal to or greater than 25%.

Gradual degradation

Professional exhaustion occurs in a context of chronic stress, and is the consequence of a progressive deterioration of the relationship of the individual to his work.

Among the signs of burnout, Aude Selly notes a state of increasing fatigue, then a lack of enthusiasm, worry, even anxiety, physical symptoms such as sleep disturbances, loss or weight loss, head, neck or back pain… What to do then?
