Aichi Prefecture announced that 4,589 people were newly confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus in the prefecture.
A total of 1,344,903 people have been confirmed to be infected in Aichi Prefecture.
Aichi Prefecture and Nagoya City also announced eight deaths.
The number of infected people who died in Aichi Prefecture has reached 2837.
