From the 18th to the 20th, the temperature in Jilin Province continued to be low, and the daily average temperature was about 11.5 °C, which was about 2 °C lower than the same period of the year.
On the morning of the 20th to the 21st, the minimum temperature in Jilin City, Liaoyuan City, Tonghua City, Baishan City, and most of Yanbian Prefecture is generally 0℃-2℃, and some townships can reach 0℃ or below.
At present, the main grain crops in Jilin Province are close to maturity, and the grains and beans are basically mature. However, due to the superimposition of unfavorable meteorological conditions such as drought and low temperature in the early stage, there are still plots that develop later in the province.
This frost process will adversely affect the grain-filling maturation of the greedy and late-maturing plots.
It is expected that the risk of frost damage will be high in most of Jilin City, Liaoyuan City, Tonghua City, and Yanbian Prefecture in the morning of the 20th and 21st, and the risk of frost damage in Baishan City will be high.
The Jilin Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Jilin Provincial Meteorological Bureau jointly suggested that for the greedy young and late-maturing and low-lying plots that are easily affected by early frost, select the appropriate time according to the terrain and wind direction, and adopt artificial smoke and frost prevention methods to change the local ambient temperature. Reduce early frost damage.
