On September 17, the Jiangxi Provincial Hydrological Monitoring Center issued a yellow drought warning. It is expected that the water level of Poyang Lake will continue to decline in the next period of time, and the Nanchang section of the Ganjiang River will maintain a low water level.

Since July this year, Jiangxi Province has continued to have high temperatures and little rainfall. The rainfall is 60% lower than the same period of the previous year, and the water volume of the five rivers entering the lake is nearly 60% lower.

Affected by the lack of rainfall and the low water level of Poyang Lake, the water level of the Nanchang section of the Ganjiang River continued to decline. Since September 9, the water level of Nanchang Station has retreated to below 11 meters.
