  China News Agency, Lhasa, September 17 (Reporter Jiang Feibo) On the 17th, the official of the Tibet Autonomous Region introduced at a press conference on the prevention and control of the new crown pneumonia epidemic in Lhasa. On September 16, there were 10 new confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia in the region. 56 cases of symptomatic infection were found in the isolation control area.

This is the first time since the outbreak of the current round of the epidemic in Tibet that the daily increase has dropped to double digits.

  Tenzin Lunzhu, deputy secretary-general of the Tibet Autonomous Region Government, said that among the newly confirmed cases on September 16, there were 9 in Lhasa and 1 in Qamdo; among the asymptomatic infections, 40 were in Lhasa, 11 in Shigatse, and 1 in Qamdo. 1 case and 4 cases in Nagqu City.

  From 0:00 to 14:00 on September 17, there were 4 new confirmed cases and 23 asymptomatic infections in Tibet.

  Tenzin Lunzhu introduced that as of 24:00 on September 16, 2,231 people in Tibet had been cured and discharged, and 54,206 close contacts were released from centralized isolation and observation.

At present, 61,048 people are under centralized quarantine and observation.

  At the press conference on the same day, Sun Xianzhong, deputy secretary of the party group and director of the Tibet Autonomous Region Water Resources Department, said that the water conservancy department scientifically formulates a plan for resumption of work and production in accordance with the requirements of zoning and classified prevention and control.

As of September 15, the total number of water conservancy projects restarted in the region was 230, including 169 in Chamdo, with a resumption rate of 100%, and 61 resumption projects in other cities, with an overall resumption rate of over 50%.
