Director Igor Maslennikov dies at 91

On Saturday, September 17, at the age of 90, the Soviet and Russian director, People's Artist of the RSFSR Igor Maslennikov died. The audience knows him from the film adaptations of stories about Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson, the well-known works of the director also include the Winter Cherry trilogy and the TV series What the Dead Said. Maslennikov wrote several scripts and published a number of books on cinema. He also taught and produced six film director's workshops.
