• These are the jewels that will be buried with Queen Elizabeth II and those that Kate, Camila and Meghan already have

  • Elizabeth II: it all started with a black dress

The movement of the cameras that follow the funeral honors after the death of Isabel II allows any curious person an extraordinary visual narrative of what happens minute by minute.

The gestures of Meghan Markle, the anger of King Charles with his pen, the restraint of the princes of Wales or the fainting of one of the royal guards who guard the coffin in the burning chapel.

They are the most colorful or suggestive focal planes, but one of the ones that

arouses the most sensitivity

is that of Beatrice of York, the eldest daughter of Prince Andrew.

In the Council of State

The queen's passing has promoted her to

ninth in the line of succession to the British throne.

In addition, her age -34 years- she will be the fourth member of royalty with the power to act as State Counselor if King Carlos III falls ill or is out of the country.

She could therefore take her place and take on some of his official duties.

She would have ahead of her, in this order, the queen consort Camilla, William of England and Prince Harry.

It means he would have

the power to sign routine documents and receive credentials from new

UK ambassadors.

He will not bequeath to him, however, matters relating to the Commonwealth nor will he be able to appoint Prime Ministers or dissolve Parliament, except at the express request of the King.

Considering the absence of his cousin Harry from him, it is to be expected that his weight will be even greater.

Beatrice's sadness

Although the novelties that the new throne of Carlos III brings with it monopolize the headlines these days, there is another detail that has captured the attention of the citizens who, like the princess, mourn their queen: her especially sad face and the emotional gesture

walking hand in hand with her sister Eugenia

after

laying some flowers with the rest of the Windsor clan.

The loss leaves her orphaned of that warmth that the sovereign transmitted to her, palpable when they attended some acts together in recent months and unquestionable since the daughters of the Dukes of York ran around as children with Princes William and Harry.

She always told herself that Beatriz was her grandmother's right eye

and she did not hesitate to show her all her support when, at the age of seven, she was diagnosed with dyslexia.

Grateful for this effort, the princess now wants to make this disorder visible to help children who suffer from it to find her strengths.

The grandmother-granddaughter relationship

Both she and her sister Eugenia shared their love affairs of youth with the queen.

It is not strange that the monarch helped her with such a waste of affection in

the preparations for her wedding with Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi,

that she had to cancel on the scheduled date because of her Covid.

Finally it ended up being celebrated in the Royal Chapel of All Saints in Windsor, in a small committee and without the expected pageantry.

The queen did not hesitate to open her jewelery box to lend her the diamond tiara from her wedding with the Duke of Edinburgh, on November 20, 1947. It is a very special piece inherited from her grandmother, Queen Mary, who had only returned it to use Princess Anne in 1973.

Elizabeth II also wanted her granddaughter's wedding to be announced on the Crown's social networks and for her favorite florist, the famous Rob Van Helden, to be in charge of decorating the chapel.

The final detail was her bridal gown,

a vintage dress she chose from her wardrobe made of silk taffeta and embroidered with diamonds.

Designed by Norman Hartnell and updated by the British Angela Kelly and Stewart Parvin, it is the model worn by the monarch at the preview of 'Lawrence of Arabia', in 1962, in London.

Grateful for so many displays of affection, Beatriz's husband, Mapelli Mozzi, dedicated some nice words to her on his Instagram account:

"What an incredible woman and what an extraordinary mark she has left on the whole world."

He further expresses how lucky he feels to have had the time spent with her this summer by her children, Sienna Elizabeth and Wolfie.

The latter is the son of a previous relationship, but has been received in Windsor as one more member.

in the middle of the scandal

In spite of everything, the daughters of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson are no strangers to the succession of scandals of their parents and even less to the

stupor that Prince Andrew arouses since his involvement in the Epstein case is known.

They are sometimes referred to in the British press as "the great forgotten royals".

And it is true that life surprises them with small coups de grace.

Gossips take advantage of the glamor of Kate Middleton to compare them and turn her peculiar outfits into an object of ridicule.

Even so, Beatriz has known how to win people's hearts and has resisted pressure, just like her sister, with a discretion that contrasts with the vehemence of Sarah Ferguson, who did not hesitate at the time to announce with great fanfare the unconditional support to her ex-husband.

Now the times are different.

To begin with, the princess has left behind the stylistic stridencies to give way to

a more mature and elegant image.

More in keeping with the sobriety imposed by the Crown, but jovial and still allowing some eccentric license in her attire.

Once the double duel has been overcome, as a grandmother and as a monarch, she is expected to advance with as firm a step as when she was holding her hand.
