In line with the opening of the Nishikyushu Shinkansen, JR Kyushu has unveiled the train of the sightseeing train "Futatsuboshi 4047", which will be newly operated between Saga Prefecture and Nagasaki Prefecture, in order to boost tourism in the region.

JR Kyushu's new tourist train "Futatsuboshi 4047" will start operating between Saga and Nagasaki prefectures on the 23rd of next week when the Nishikyushu Shinkansen opens.



Prior to this, the vehicle was unveiled to the press on the 15th at the Vehicle Center in Kitakyushu City.

The new sightseeing train is a 3-car train, with a pearl-white body and a gold belt and two stars designed to stand out against the blue sea.



All seats on the train are reserved, and there are 87 seats in the first and third cars, and the second car is a shared space where passengers can freely use sofa seats and counter seats to enjoy meals and scenery.



"Futatsuboshi 4047" operates in the section connecting Takeo Onsen Station in Saga Prefecture, the same as the Nishi Kyushu Shinkansen, and Nagasaki Station. run on one route.



It will operate two routes, one each day, four days a week, from Friday to Monday.
