In mid-autumn season, more than 30 water pipes extend into the Jiangxi branch of the Poyang Lake water system at the riverside electric drainage station in Changyi Township, Xinjian District, Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. Affected by low precipitation and persistent high temperature, Poyang Lake, China's largest freshwater lake, has a rare phenomenon of "reverse dry season during flood season". The area around Poyang Lake is the main grain-producing area in Jiangxi, a major agricultural province.
