<Reporter> This

is Typhoon Muifa, the 12th typhoon staying in the eastern seas of Taiwan.

Although it is a small typhoon with a radius of 250 km, strong winds of 37 m/s are blowing from the center.

The typhoon is expected to pass Shanghai, China on the 15th and turn east from Qingdao on the 16th.

Due to the distance, Korea is not expected to be directly affected.

However, as the typhoon continues to supply steam, rain clouds are forming in Korea.

Because of this, by the day after day (14th), 30 to 100 mm of rain is expected on Jeju Island and 120 mm in the mountains.

As the typhoon moves north and shakes the sea water up and down, waves of 2 to 4 meters are expected to flow in the west and south coasts.

[Woo Jin-gyu / Meteorological Administration Forecast Analyst: Even if it is not directly affected by the typhoon, there is a possibility that a typhoon advisory will be issued (from the next day) centered on the southern seas of the West Sea of Korea and the distant seas of the southern seas.]

The 13th typhoon 'Mrbok' also occurred in the far sea southeast of Japan today.

Currently, next to Typhoon No. 12, the tropical depression, the vortex of the previous stage of the typhoon, is located.

This tropical depression is expected to move to the northwest, and the Korea Meteorological Administration announced that it will announce the results of analysis on the possibility of impact on the Korean Peninsula as soon as the day after tomorrow.
