The breakdown is 3199 in Saitama Prefecture, 717 in Saitama City, 457 in Kawaguchi City, 253 in Koshigaya City, and 192 in Kawagoe City.

On the other hand, Kawaguchi City announced that three men in their 70s and 80s infected with the new coronavirus died, bringing the total number of people who died in the prefecture to 2,251.
