First there was the mayor of Faches-Thumesnil (North).

He was joined this Sunday by the mayor of Bourges (Loir-et-Cher).

Like Patrick Proisy (Nupes), Yann Galut (PS) announced on Twitter that he would not pay tribute to Queen Elisabeth II, who died on Thursday, "the French flags on the pediment of the municipal buildings of the city of Bourges requested by Elisabeth Borne, this request seems incredible to me”.

I respect the pain of our English friends but I will not put the French flags on the pediment of the municipal buildings of the city of #Bourges requested by @Elisabeth_Borne this request seems incredible to me.

thread

to those who insult him (reminding them in particular that "insulting an elected official is punishable by one year's imprisonment and a fine of 15,000 euros") and developed his thought: "How do you want to be logical by putting flags on our schools at half-mast where the motto is inscribed: "Liberty, equality, fraternity"?

No concept is further from "equality" than that of monarchy.

Nothing therefore against the person of Elizabeth II.

But certainly against the very principle that a birth in the right family endows you with a particular blood which puts you above the others.
