High blood pressure.. These symptoms require a doctor's consultation to avoid serious consequences

The causes of high blood pressure are the genetic factor, smoking and some diseases such as diabetes, kidney disease and hyperthyroidism, in addition to excessive salt intake, according to the German Robert Koch Institute on Health Affairs, which indicated that blood pressure is high if the measurement value is greater than 120/80 mmHg.

He added that the symptoms of high blood pressure are headache, dizziness, nosebleeds, fluid retention in the body, redness of the face, shortness of breath, chest tightness, sleep disturbances and vision disturbances.

The institute stressed the need to consult a doctor immediately upon noticing these symptoms to undergo treatment in a timely manner, in order to avoid the potentially severe consequences of heart attacks, strokes, and eye and kidney damage.

High blood pressure can be treated through antihypertensive drugs, with a healthy lifestyle represented in reducing salt (less than five grams per day), quitting smoking, and maintaining exercise and physical activities.
