Since the start of the school year, in the middle of notebooks and class materials, all high school students in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region now have their "violence meter".

It is a graduated tool, similar to a ruler, which makes it possible to “measure” if one's romantic relationship is based on consent and if it involves no violence.

The levels range from 1 to 24. The colors gradually change from green for a "healthy relationship" to red urging users to "protect themselves" and ask for help.

"You are in danger when", indicates the violence meter, "he calls you crazy when you reproach him", "flirts when something displeases him", "pushes you, slaps you" or "forces you to watch porn movies.

"According to the various surveys conducted in France, young people are the part of the population most at risk from violence within the couple", argues the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region at the origin of this initiative intended to raise awareness. high schools on violence against women.

This action will be supplemented by other actions carried out by the associations of the territory.
