Looking for drivers, waiters, teachers… and also early childhood professionals.

Staffing shortages continue to hit several sectors.

And in this new school year, many departments – particularly Ile-de-France – are warning about the lack of staff in nurseries.

Last July, the National Family Allowance Fund (CAF) published a survey of 15,986 collective crèches offering 411,959 childcare places.

The figures show that almost half (48.6%) of collective crèches report a lack of staff for children.

More than 9,500 places are "closed or unoccupied because of difficulty in recruiting".

To remedy the situation, the government published a decree in the Official Journal which made professionals in the sector jump.

Since August 31, crèches faced with a shortage of staff have been authorized to recruit people without the qualifications usually required, under certain conditions, in particular with 120 hours of internal training.

Parents and early childhood professionals, what do you think of this decision to hire non-qualified carers in nurseries to cope with the shortage of staff?

Parents, have you decided to change the mode of care of your child?

For what reasons ?

Were you afraid for his safety?

Do you think that the profession of childcare assistant is devalued?

On the contrary, do you understand the use of these hirings?
