At 12:52 on September 5, an earthquake of magnitude 6.8 occurred in Luding County, Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan, with a focal depth of 16 kilometers.

In order to grasp the earthquake disaster situation as soon as possible and provide first-hand reference materials for front-line emergency rescue commanders, SKYSIGHT ordered the image data of Gaofen-3 Synthetic Aperture Radar Satellite (SAR satellite for short) through the China Resources Satellite Application Center for the first time. There is an application platform for comprehensive processing of remote sensing information, which can import, filter and enhance images, and conduct remote sensing analysis and assessment of the disaster-stricken areas in the Luding earthquake-stricken area.

Through the interpretation of image information from an altitude of 755,000 meters, it can be found that there are many landslides in Hailuogou Scenic Area, some landslides dumped into rivers, and some roads have been interrupted.

The picture shows the pre-disaster remote sensing image of Luding County (partial).
