Three years ago, in a multiple accident that killed one person and injured 22 people in a tunnel on the Wangan Route of the Shuto Expressway in Kawasaki City, the police accused the company that operated the truck of causing a vehicle fire that triggered the accident. I sent the document to the president of the company.

On December 17, 2019, in a tunnel on the Tokyo Metropolitan Expressway Wangan Route in Kawasaki City, a running truck caught fire and smoke was billowing in, causing a multiple accident involving a total of 17 vehicles following the highway bus. A 50-year-old man was killed and 22 others were seriously injured.

According to investigative sources, subsequent investigations revealed that the truck fire that triggered the accident was suspected to have occurred when the engine part broke and oil leaked out.

The police sent documents to the police on suspicion of professional negligence resulting in death and injury to the president of a company in his 40s who operated a truck, saying that he had caused a vehicle fire and multiple accidents due to neglect of maintenance.

In addition, the driver in his 70s was also sent documents on suspicion of negligent driving causing death and injury, saying that he continued to drive even though smoke was coming out of the car and caused an accident.

According to investigative sources, the two have admitted to the allegations against the police.
