About thirty students from the Monts-et-Lacs private college in Salles-Curan (Aveyron) used an original type of school transport on the day of the new school year, Thursday.

They indeed arrived for their first day of school aboard a cattle truck, tells France 3 Occitanie.

This organization developed by the families was intended to raise awareness about the situation of the children.

These college students, living in Lestrade and Villefrance-de-Panat (Aveyron), have no bus serving their establishment.

The route between these villages and the college does not appear on the school transport map, managed by the Regional Council of Occitanie, the parents said.

The local authority has for its part provided transport between schools and Requista (Aveyron), on which the municipalities depend.

She claims not to be responsible for services outside the perimeter.

Still, the families wanted to mark the spirits, in particular by hanging signs “Attention, transport of living children” to the livestock truck borrowed by their children.
