[Commentary] Zhang Mingtong, a 69-year-old Taiwanese man, is very busy every weekend.
During the four years he has settled in Chongqing, he has spent most of the weekend with members of the "Cross-Strait Love Music Group" rehearsing by the river or performing in the nursing home.
[Explanation] Recently, the reporter saw Zhang Mingtong who was performing for the elderly in the nursing home, and saw that he played a familiar song on the saxophone.
Musical instruments, dancing, singing... One by one, the old people applauded and praised the performances, and the live atmosphere was full of joy.
[Commentary] Zhang Mingtong told reporters that he used to be a street performer in Taiwan, and he had plenty of time. He often carried the saxophone alone to perform in nursing homes and orphanages, and he did so for nearly ten years.
After he and his wife went to live in Chongqing in 2017, Zhang Mingtong decided to continue to perform in the local nursing home.
Therefore, the idea of forming a love music group was born in Zhang Mingtong's heart. Zhang Mingtong contacted friends who liked music in parks and communities, and formed a "cross-strait love music group".

When I proposed it here, I told my colleagues and friends who like music that we would go to a nursing home (home for the elderly) in the future, to perform, to serve, and to see the elderly.
Their response was overwhelming, and they all loved it.
[Explanation] In addition to hosting and performing at the performance site, Zhang Mingtong is now also responsible for connecting with the nursing home and recruiting performers in the music group. Zhang Mingtong admitted that it was "a little difficult" at the beginning.

Just calling from family to family, at first (the other party) did not respond enthusiastically and was indifferent.
They didn't seem to believe it, and some even hung up the phone.
Later, I changed to visit at the door, go directly to the nursing home, and express our intentions directly to their dean or person in charge.
[Explanation] Now, they have performed more than 50 performances for the elderly in various nursing homes.
With the participation of more volunteers, the performance programs have become more and more abundant, and each performance has reached more than ten programs.
[Commentary] Whether it's rehearsal or performance, Zhang Mingtong asks everyone to bring their own water and meals.
Zhang Mingtong said frankly that they are here to do good deeds, the purer the better.

We all have another special layer of affection, and every time we come to the elderly people are very happy.

He'll keep doing it as long as his body allows it.
