The "Rock in Rio" festival in Rio de Janeiro returned Friday after a three-year hiatus due to the "Covid-19" pandemic.

Festival founder Roberto Medina said in a press conference held in the Olympic complex for the 2016 Olympics, where the concerts will be held, "It is time for us to meet again... We will be able to hug and kiss each other: the actual life is not that we live behind screens, but when we meet in person."

In its 22nd edition, the festival is expected to attract about 100,000 spectators in its seven days, while Canadian singer Justin Bieber, British pop star Dua Lipa and British band Coldplay are on its schedule.
