On September 2, netizens reported that a vegetable sales store in Longquanyi District of Chengdu had been driving up prices during the epidemic.

After receiving the report, law enforcement officers rushed to the scene to carry out law enforcement inspections on the operators.

At the scene of the law enforcement inspection, the price tag of the product named Tiebang Yam was 9.5 yuan per kilogram, but the price of the product on the computer system was 12 yuan per kilogram, which did not match the price label on the shelf.

The law enforcement officers asked the store owner to provide the purchase certificate of iron bar yam and tomato, and found that the tomato was purchased in three times with a total of 1,079 catties, which was calculated to be more than 3 yuan per catty.

At the inspection site, the law enforcement officers checked the purchase certificate of tomato sales of 5 yuan, but it did not match the purchase time given by the merchant.

Since the operator did not provide relevant purchase certificates on the spot, law enforcement officers asked the operator and upstream suppliers to go to the local market supervision department for questioning.

At present, the merchant is suspected of selling at a low price and driving up prices during the epidemic prevention and control period. The Market Supervision Bureau of Longquanyi District, Chengdu has launched an investigation into it.
