Haran added to the episode (9/2022) of the "Beyond the News" program that all Ukrainian lands are no longer safe because of the Russian bombing, and that the Russians' occupation of the nuclear plant is the first precedent of its kind in history, noting that the nuclear plants must be empty. of the weapon.

He accused the Russian side of bombing the area around the Zaporozhye nuclear plant, stressing that Ukraine is not stupid to cause a nuclear explosion on its territory.

And the International Atomic Energy Agency mission began its mission at the Zaporozhye nuclear plant after it stopped hours at the beginning of the road to it due to the bombing, at a time when Kyiv and Moscow exchanged accusations of seeking to thwart the mission.

Regarding the offer to disarm the Zaporozhye plant to avoid nuclear disaster, Haran said that the international community demands this, not only Ukraine, which is the best option, but the Russians - the spokesman adds - want to crush Ukraine.

Russia's justifications

On the other hand, Russian State Duma member Yevgeny Popov denied that his country had bombed the area around the Zaporozhye station, because, according to him, Moscow had liberated it, and it controlled it, which means that there are no reasons for it to do so.

While accusing Ukraine of hijacking the nuclear plant, the Russian guest stressed that it was Moscow that requested the arrival of the International Atomic Energy Agency mission to inspect Zaporozhye. Ordinary police repel the landing of the Ukrainians, according to the guest.

He considered that the Ukrainian offer to disarm the nuclear plant does not matter to Russia, which he said does not need new territories, but rather is fighting a hostile regime in Ukraine.

In the past few weeks, Ukraine and Russia have accused each other of bombing the Zaporozhye plant, and military operations in the vicinity of the plant have raised fears of a nuclear catastrophe.

The plant includes 6 nuclear reactors and provides about 20% of the total electricity in Ukraine and has a production capacity of about 5,700 megawatts per hour.
