According to the articles of association of the Chinese Writers Association and the requirements of the membership method, individuals who apply for membership should be recommended by provincial Writers Association and other group member units, and applicants from central and state agencies should be recommended by two individual members.
For applicants engaged in literary creation, they should meet one of the following application conditions: publish at least 3 independent literary works in mainland China; publish works of at least 150,000 words in literary journals or newspapers that are published nationwide; And publish no less than 1 independently created literary work in mainland China; publish works of no less than 300,000 words in literary journals or newspapers that are publicly distributed across the country.
