The Val-d'Oise prefecture announced the emergency closure of a shellfish restaurant in Garges-lès-Gonesse on Wednesday, reports

Le Parisien

.

This decision follows the checks carried out the day before by the Departmental Directorate for the Protection of Populations (DDPP 95).

A family had reported falling ill after eating there.

On the spot, the inspectors of the DDPP 95 were able to observe poorly preserved food, black frying oil or even rodent droppings on the ground.

The report highlighted an immediate danger to customers, which led to this emergency administrative closure.

This is a rare procedure, which has only been initiated by the DDPP about fifteen times since the beginning of the year in France.

The restorer in recidivism

It is also a repeat offense, the restaurant having already been closed for three weeks by the DDPP at the end of June.

On this occasion, the manager had undergone training and checks had been carried out before the reopening.

Today, the restaurateur risks administrative sanctions.

He could reopen his restaurant again if sufficient guarantees are provided to the DDPP.
