A woman who was molested on a train and injured by a man who tried to escape has announced her name and attended an unusual press conference as a victim of a sexual crime.

The woman is a lawyer who supports victims, and she said, "I want people to know that real people have been hurt and that victims need not be ashamed of being sexually assaulted."

The press conference was held by lawyer Chieko Aoki, who was forcibly touched on the JR Saikyo Line train in October, and was overturned by the other person who tried to escape, and injured her leg.

In this case, a 43-year-old office worker was accused of indecent assault, and on the 1st, the Tokyo District Court ruled in a lay judge trial ruling, ``It was a cowardly crime in a crowded train where there was no escape. The victim's sense of shame, fear, and humiliation was strong, and the emotional pain was great."

Aoki explained why he held the press conference by revealing his name and face, saying, "I thought it would be better to show my face and talk about it in order to let people know that a real person was hurt." "There is no need for victims to be ashamed," he said.

He added, "What I felt most strongly after becoming a victim was the importance of the people around me who supported the victims. You never know when someone might become a victim. People around me want to help others." I want you to show that kindness in your actions in a reasonable way."
