August 31, 2022 is the 100th anniversary of the birth of Wu Mengchao, an outstanding member of the Communist Party of China, the pioneer and main founder of Chinese hepatobiliary surgery, and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
"Father of Hepatobiliary Surgery in China" - Wu Mengchao dedicated his life to serving the country, dedicating himself to the cause of medicine, benefiting the people with sincerity, and dedicated his life wisdom and strength to the cause of hepatobiliary surgery.
Wu Ling, the eldest daughter of Academician Wu Mengchao, said: "When my sister and I were sorting out my father's belongings, we saw his diary for the first time. After opening it, we found that it was not only work but also work." She said that although her father put his work in the First, but he still loves our family.
"Now, it's been over a year since my dad passed away, but it's like he's still with us and never left."
At the symposium held at the Third Affiliated Hospital of Naval Military Medical University, academician Wu Mengchao's relatives, friends, colleagues, students and other representatives reviewed the unforgettable years of following Wu to create and develop the career of hepatobiliary surgery from different perspectives, commemorating this great "model" Centennial of the Medical Specialist.
