In the future, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has decided to allow five occupations such as dentists and clinical laboratory technologists to be vaccinated as special cases in the event that a new infectious disease occurs and it is difficult to secure doctors and nurses.

Under the Medical Practitioners Act, the person responsible for vaccination is limited to doctors and nurses. Three occupations of paramedics were allowed to be vaccinated in phases.

Based on this lesson, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare will consider who will be responsible for vaccination in the event that a new infectious disease occurs in the future. In addition, we have decided to allow a total of five occupations as special exceptions.

If it is expected that it will be difficult to secure doctors and nurses at the venue for mass vaccinations, etc., it will be a condition to receive vaccination training.

The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare plans to proceed with specific procedures in the future, as more than 500,000 people will be the target of the five occupations.
