In the planning and design of the project, the Provincial Meteorological Bureau combined the current situation of automatic weather stations and site detection in the province, and based on the demand for weather forecasting services, the site selection of intelligent automatic weather stations was carried out in key flood control river sections and disaster-prone areas.
In the five cities of Shenyang, Anshan, Dandong, Fuxin and Tieling, 18 automatic meteorological stations have been built.
