The dance performance "Gion Odori" by maiko and geisha, which colors autumn in Kyoto, will be held for the first time in three years after taking measures against infection.

"Gion Odori" is one of the five dance performances in Kyoto's entertainment district and has become an autumn tradition, but due to the influence of the new corona, it was canceled for two years in a row until last year.



The sponsoring Gion Higashi Kabukai held a press conference on the 31st and announced that it would be held for the first time in three years after taking measures against infection.

On the 31st, a photo shoot for the pamphlet was also held, and maiko and geisha dressed in gorgeous costumes posed.



Maiko Tomei (17), who had not been able to participate in the "Gion Odori" until now, said, "It was my dream to participate in the Gion Odori, so I'm very happy for her."



"Gion Odori" is scheduled to be held from November 1st to 10th.



On the other hand, `` Kitano Odori '' at `` Kamishichiken '', one of the five entertainment districts, will be held in autumn as a special measure against the new corona.
