During her blood type and blood type antibody tests, she found that she was not only RhD negative (commonly known as panda blood), but also had RhC, Rhc, RhE, Rhe are all negative (RhNULL), plus its ABO blood type is O, there is no blood group antigen on the red blood cells anymore.
This means that if she acts as a blood donor, she can give her own blood to any patient who needs a blood transfusion.
According to Gao Lingbao, director of the infusion department of the hospital, the investigation found that the blood type of the patient's sister was the same as that of the patient, both of which were RhNULL type O.
It is said that the RhNULL blood type, known as the golden blood type, has a probability of 1 in 6 million in the population.
Since the discovery of this blood type in the 1960s, there have been fewer than 50 cases in the world, and only 4 cases have been reported in China.
