The Gironde prefecture has just launched, on Monday, a message of “caution” concerning a danger of falling trees, in connection with the yellow storm alert launched by Météo-France in the department.

"Thunderstorms are expected this afternoon which could be locally strong with a risk of hail, gusts of wind between 80 and 100 km / h and cumulative rain between 20 and 40 mm in a short time" recalls the prefecture.

It is thus “asked to users who use the traffic axes crossing the forest massif damaged by the fires, in particular Landiras and Teste-de-Buch, to show the greatest caution and to limit the speed because of the increased risk of falling trees.
