It was reported at the meeting that as of August 25, the number of new positive infections in Xinjiang had dropped for 6 consecutive days; the number of newly confirmed cases who were cured and discharged and asymptomatic infections released from isolation for medical observation had exceeded the number of newly positive infections for 3 consecutive days. The situation continues to consolidate for the better.

  The meeting also reported the latest situation of the current round of the epidemic.

From 0:00 to 21:00 on August 26, Xinjiang added 9 new confirmed cases, and 4 new asymptomatic infections were transferred to confirmed cases.

There were 48 new cases of local asymptomatic infections, including 7 in Tianshan District, Urumqi City, 3 in Shayibak District, 3 in Shuimogou District, 3 in High-tech Zone (new urban area), 3 in Midong District, and 3 in Yili Prefecture. There are 21 cases in Ning City, 1 case in Hutubi County, Changji Prefecture, 1 case in Changji City, 2 cases in Jimsar County, 2 cases in Gaochang District of Turpan City, and 2 cases in Korla City, Bazhou.

  From 0:00 to 21:00 on August 26, 6 newly confirmed cases were cured and discharged; 307 new cases of asymptomatic infections were released from isolation and medical observation.

As of 21:00 on August 26, there were 51 local confirmed cases in Xinjiang; there were 2,557 local asymptomatic infections and 4 imported asymptomatic infections.

  As of 21:00 on the 26th, among the areas affected by the current round of the epidemic in Xinjiang, 7 prefectures and 22 counties and urban areas had no new positive infections for more than 7 consecutive days.

The four regions of Hotan, Altay, Aksu, and Bozhou have been completely cleared of positive infections. On August 25, except for Yili, Urumqi, Changji, and Bazhou, there were no new positive infections in the rest of the prefectures.
