"This fire is so big! It's right in front of my eyes."

"Hurry up! Volunteers are needed ahead."

  ...

The fire blazed into the sky, and the smoke billowed.

In the past few days, there have been wildfires in many places in Chongqing. In the face of the most serious extreme continuous sunny and high temperature weather in Chongqing since 1961, the wildfires were put out, and all volunteers went up the road, showing the honesty and forthrightness of Chongqing people, righteousness first, and united will. .

"When fighting the fire, that trace of fear has turned into motivation"

In the early morning of the 22nd, a 173-member Chongqing Blue Sky Rescue Team was preparing to set off for the rescue at the Yitian Mountain Fire Rescue Area in Jieshi, Banan. Among them were lawyers, teachers, private enterprise bosses, and state-owned enterprise employees...

Rong Tenghong is the head of a training institution and the captain of the Blue Sky Rescue Team in Chongqing Liangjiang New Area.

On the afternoon of the 21st, Rong Tenghong received a notice to volunteer to go to Banan to rescue the mountain fire. He immediately started solitaire in the WeChat group.

Then at 18:00, 38 backbone volunteers with emergency rescue capabilities were called to participate in the rescue.

"In order to stop the spread of the fire, we have been using chainsaws and other tools to open the isolation zone from 6:00 a.m. to 12:30 noon. The high temperature and long time are a great challenge to the physical strength of the team members." Rong Tenghong told Zhong. Xinwang reporter, after working for several hours, the voices of the team members have become hoarse, and they can only drink water to relieve themselves. "The front-line rescue team barely had anything to eat, and the evacuated team members rested on the grass beside the highway at the foot of the mountain. Stand by."

"Although he has undergone certain professional training, when fighting fires, he still has a trace of fear of death in his heart." Rong Tenghong said, thinking of the huge losses that the spread of wildfires may cause to the country and the people, that trace of fear has turned into motivation.

In the process of fighting the fire, Rong Tenghong met many volunteers who participated in the rescue, maintaining order on the scene, distributing materials, and extinguishing the re-ignition fires... On the evening of the 22nd, after the fire was under control, Lantian in Liangjiang New Area, where Rong Tenghong was located The rescue team evacuated the fire site. At 2 pm on the 23rd, Rong Tenghong, who was on a lunch break, received an instruction to rescue the Beibei Mountain Fire and was on standby to support the Beibei Mountain Fire.

Previously, they have participated in the mountain fire rescues in Fengjie, Fuling, Dazu, Changshou and Banan.

"This is what I should do. If there is a war, I will be recalled!" When he said this, Qin Sixi, a retired armed policeman after 00, carried pride in his tone.

He was discharged from the army in 2020 and is currently serving as the station manager of the Cainiao Station in the first phase of Poly Yunxi, Banan District, Chongqing.

On the 21st, a fire broke out in the mountains and forests under the jurisdiction of Xinyu Village, Jieshi Town, Banan District.

After receiving the summoning order from the relevant departments, Qin Sixi temporarily shut down the rookie station, followed the order and went straight to the front line for firefighting and rescue.

In the past few days, Qin Sixi has only slept for more than ten hours. He followed the rescuers to fight the fire, used a chainsaw to set up isolation belts, etc., facing the danger of open fire.

Residents of the station community learned that Qin Sixi had gone to the front line for firefighting and rescue, and spontaneously organized food delivery, donations, and donations of materials.

Resident Li Ta opened a farmhouse. When she learned of this, she immediately bought, cooked, and fried vegetables.

"If we can't go to the front line, we will provide support from the rear."

For the past few days, at 7:00 every morning, Li Ta would ask about the quantity of meals early, go out to buy vegetables and prepare ingredients, and nearby residents also came to help cut vegetables.

Afterwards, 100 boxes of lunches were sent to the rescue team where Qin Sixi was located through caring volunteers.

Now that the open fire of the Chongqing mountain fire has been effectively sealed and controlled, he and the volunteers are resting and waiting at the school down the mountain.

Similarly, a mountain fire broke out in the Shifosiwan section of Shiwan Town, Dazu District, Chongqing. After learning of the shortage of supplies on the front line of firefighting, Zhang Zehong, general manager of Chongqing Nengkai Automobile Sales Co., Ltd., a dealer partner of SAIC Hongyan, quickly Organized more than 20 volunteers to bring bottled water, dry food and other emergency condolence materials to the front line of fire fighting and disaster relief, and gathered a strong joint force to provide logistical support for fire officers and soldiers.

Shi Lei is a volunteer in the firefighting team and a veteran who was injured and disabled while performing tasks.

When he learned of the disaster, he rushed to the front line without hesitation. He said: "Our mission up the mountain is to defend the isolation belt with firefighters to prevent the fire from crossing the isolation belt and put out sporadic wildfires."

"We have more than 100 boxes of mineral water, originally for customers to drink. The general manager directly arranged for us to load the car and transport it there for the firefighters and volunteers to drink." Shi Lei said, "The mountain road over there is very rough and basic. It is sent to the side of the mountain, and then transported up by motorcycle to the nearby village, and then transported by manpower.”

"Being able to contribute a little to the people is a belief I have always adhered to." Shi Lei said.

"Doing your best is doing your best"

At 9 pm on the 25th, after pulling the last volunteer to support the firefighting to evacuate from the mountain, 33-year-old Meituan delivery boy Yi Zhenqiang drank a bottle of mineral water in one breath.

On this mountain road that can only accommodate two motorcycles side by side, Yi Zhenqiang has run back and forth for two days.

At noon on the 24th, he saw in a rider WeChat group that there were a lot of materials and personnel in Jinyun Mountain, Beibei District, and they needed to be sent to the front line of fire fighting in time.

Yi Zhenqiang stopped taking orders, turned the car and drove towards Jinyun Mountain, "At this time, we ordinary people can do our part."

In the afternoon in Chongqing, the high temperature and the high temperature of more than 40 ℃ are extreme challenges for everyone.

Yi Zhenqiang prepared a towel dampened with cold water, hung it around his neck, ran down a few times, sweat dripped down his forehead, he wiped it with a wet towel, and then ran again.

When it's hot, he can drink a 500ml bottle of mineral water in one breath, but sometimes he gets so busy that he doesn't even have time to drink water, and then he runs for the next trip.

"The afternoon is the busiest time. People have to be sent in and people have to be replaced. Hundreds of people are rotated, and they are all transported by motorcycles." Yi Zhenqiang said how many people were sent in and how many people were transported by his motorcycle. When people came out, he couldn't remember clearly.

Among these people, there are fire fighters who went to the front line for support, as well as evacuated volunteers. Occasionally, he would chat with them about the fire situation. In most cases, he just transported these tired rescuers to their destinations.

The mountain road is bumpy and the road conditions are extremely poor. There is a section of the road that even the motorcycle can't turn around, and can only pull the handlebars to turn the body.

In two days, Yi Zhenqiang fell three times in total.

"One trip was to transport a batch of supplies, and it was tied a bit too much, and I fell twice on that trip." Fortunately, there was no serious problem, he picked up the car and continued on.

What impressed Yi Zhenqiang was that after a rescuer fainted due to overwork, he was carried down the mountain on a stretcher. "At that moment, I really felt that they were the real heroes. Think about how tired they were inside. In this way, what we do is nothing at all.”

On the evening of the 25th, the voice of "Rising" resounded on the top of Jinyun Mountain. The professional rescue team charged in front, and the enthusiastic volunteer team rushed to the back, becoming the bright "starlight" guarding Chongqing here.

As of 8:30 on the 26th, many forest fires in Chongqing have been effectively controlled and the open fires have been extinguished after the rescue efforts of all parties.

Many people in Shancheng have left messages on the Internet: "Let's plant trees together in spring!" (End)
